About Me

I am in need of music that would flow
Over my fretful feeling fingertips
Over my bitter-tainted trembling lips
With melody deep, clear and liquid slow
Oh, for the healing swaying old and low
Of some song sung to rest the quiet dead
A song to fall like water on my head
And over quivering limbs, dreams flushed to glow
There is a magic made by melody
A spell of rest and quiet breath and cool
Heart that sinks through fading colors deep
To the subaqueous stillness of the sea
And floats forever in a moon-green pool
Held in the arms of rhythm and of sleep
-Elizabeth Bishop-
I love Jesus more than anything. So the rest of this stuff is peripheral compared to Him. I am desperately in love with my hot, rock star singer/songwriter/dreamer/best friend husband, and am mother to our beautiful, hilarious, smart and sweet baby girl. I want to be the kind of person that shows others how worth it it is to know Jesus. I want to make my husband laugh and drool. I want to be the mom that teaches my daughter how to play football in the afternoon, and puts on a black evening dress to go out with her dad. I love having great friends. Things I want to stop making excuses for not doing: cooking exotic food, running a marathon, learning to play the drums & piano, knowing how to speak French (and practice my Spanish more), read the 1,000 greatest books of all time, find a place to go mountain biking and start painting again. And when I grow up, I'm going to be an architect. MyGen Profile Generator ..

Life Gets in the Way of Itself

The Mom Tattoo

Mother's Day came and went just like all the others before it, except this year, I was a mom, therefore rendering the day sunnier, breezier and scented with wildflowers.  Life is not...
