About Me

/
Our InstructorsNeil is an instructor, a fighter, and a partner of the gym. Students call him "Kru Neil". He began learning Muay Thai at the age of 12 and began fighting at age 14. He won his first title belt at age 17 - the Featherweight W.K.B.A. Intercontinental Championship. In March 2004, after not fighting for 5 years, he came back and won his second title belt in the Light Heavyweight Championship for Vut Promotion. He fought one more time for Dennis Warner/In Sync Productions before going to Thailand to learn Muay Thai techniques and train with the Thai fighters there.
In October 2005, he went to Thailand again to learn more techniques and train to fight. Then again, on November 5, 2005 he fought against Luis Sid Mario at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand and won.
Now he trains amateur and professional fighters and anyone who wants to learn self-defense or just get in shape. He also continues to fight but is having a hard time finding an opponent who will fight him.
Rex is an instructor and partner of the gym. In Thailand they call instructors "Kru", so at the gym, students call him "Kru Rex". Born in Thailand; he has been training in Muay Thai for 40 years, amassing an impressive 131-5-24 record as a junior featherweight champion in Thailand.
He came here in 1973 and continued to fight in California and Mexico, winning the middleweight full contact championship in Culver City in 1976.
He opened Muay Thai Kickboxing Gym in 1994 and continues to work daily, training amateur and professional fighters and anyone wanting to learn self-defense. Now at the age of 54 years old, it can easily be said he is one of the most experienced and dedicated instructors around.
