The Cadavers

About Me

The one and only, the original Cadavers, accept no substitutes, the imitators better get some some friends to start burning candles for them a noisy guerrilla troupe from long island with the malicious intent to completely destroy the music industry as it exists today or maybe not. Regardless of motives this group of clean and not-so-clean young men fizzle, pop, explode, and on occasion rock too.
The group formed way back in 98, when everything was so great, by dave bleek and trevor morton. Dave wailed on his vocal cords as well as the guitar strings, while trevor coaxed tumultuous melodies out of synthetic ivory keys. The lads were soon joined by czech expatriate Oldrich (who, despite his name, was young and poor) with his guitar- all breaking glass distortion and feedback. rhythm duties were traded between Emmanuel and ed. Things were right with the world, the cadavers played shows and soon were spending nights in the studio. The debut was loosed on the world early 2001 and our intrepid heros were poised to reap the harvest of all their hard work. Until the name took a literal turn, the rainy years came, the times of trouble, the season of wither. People vanished. Left town, left state, the country, and some left for some mountaintop high above the planet. Sessions for Confuse:4 2/3 dragged on til it was released in 2005 under the wound in his arm. The beleaguered and belated album was constructed of studio sessions, rehearsal tapes, etc. It stood as a testament to the wanton tragedy of those previous years. This year saw the release of melancholia and the re-release of the debut CD. Now blessed with the presence of longtime friends and co-conspirators Mike Keenan on six string(thunderous chords and lightning leads) and Shawn Potak on Bass (masterful rhythms of low frequency). The cadavers have returned and have already started work on the next release.
the cadavers can give you what you need, darling.
