I am generally quiet and shy, until I get to know you, then...I show all of my quirkiness :) I currently relocated to San Diego from Arroyo Grande in central California. I am working for a veterinary specialty hospital, and plan to go on to vet. school...I should be ready to apply by 2007. I grew up mostly in Laguna Beach, CA, but lived in a Westfalia van in Europe for 2 years with my parents as we traveled to 20 different countries (this was before the Berlin wall came down; we actually have a piece of the wall that was sent to us from a friend in Berlin). I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy camping,traveling,hiking,drawing,reading,listening to music & going to concerts,art shows,practical jokes,the beach,my cats, watching movies.....the list goes on :) This is something that a friend from a long time ago just sent to me, and makes all the sence in the world to me...perfect timing for what I'm going through.After a while you learn The subtle difference between Holding a hand and chaining a soul And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning And company doesn't always mean security.And you begin to learn That kisses aren't contracts And presents aren't promises And you begin to accept your defeats With your head up and your eyes ahead With the grace of a woman Not the grief of a childAnd you learn To build all your roads on today Because tomorrow's ground is Too uncertain for plans And futures have a way Of falling down in mid flightAfter a while you learn That even sunshine burns if you get too much So you plant your own garden And decorate your own soul Instead of waiting For someone to bring you flowersAnd you learn That you really can endure That you are really strong And you really do have worth And you learn and you learn With every good bye you learn.Veronica A.
