About Me

I've been producing under the name 'REQS' since 2000 but have many pseudonym's. From '97 I've had many releases on many labels, have performed live in London, Glastonbury, Europe & started DJ'ing in 2000.I don't produced specific genres because I like a broad spectrum of music but electro has & will always be an influence or part of the process.Right now… I’m writing some more tunes, re-mastering old tunes and working on some remixes & mash-ups. Soon to be playing live again but until then, when I next play (DJ reqs) I'll post the info so you can come & see me if your into breaks/electro/techno & dancing like a banshee.Until then, you can listen to the mix below the myspace player.[LOVEMYFLASH]

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.mydjspace.net/DJreqs
Band Members: Me, me, me.
Influences: Hmm, to many to mention or remember. When dance music started appearing in the charts in the 80's - Marrs "pump up the volume", Eric B & Rakim's "paid in full" & Paul Hardcastle's "zero one" album took me off into a world of dance music instead of just electronic bands like Depeche Mode etc. Kraftwerk & the Art of Noise where favourites anyway but thumping grooves & samples hinted at a future I was hungry for. So from Chicago House to Breaks but I like so many genres of music that all are an influence. Aphex Twin (good or bad) is & will always be my favourite producer.
Sounds Like: Apparently, a bit like Aphex Twin & The Prodigy....is up to you.
Type of Label: Major
