Tim Cost aka DJ Reptile born in raised in Ft. Lauderdale Florida growing up with music surroundings with his mother playing the piano and percussion. Also his grand father Big Nick Nichols a famous piano player Tim gets his talent from the family tree. Tim grew up experimenting with all types of musical instruments from the sax to the drums, all through middle school and high school he dabeled in music and sports but at the age of 14 he met some people that introduced him to electronic music, Florida Breaks to be exact. From there he was hooked and began his journey into becoming a DJ. Tim's love for reptile's kind of stuck with him and from there on was known as DJ Reptile and he started to grow in the scene. In 1998 his first real gig in a nightclub was at club 3299 in Pompano Beach that's where a DJ by the name of DJ Str8 and Fuzz 1 gave him a shot on the decks and they were blown away with his mixing skills and sick style of music. He was asked to continue to come back every weekend for a late night spot for an hour or even more. From there Reptile became a resident DJ for about 5 years spinning with some pretty cool people and some not so much. During that time he was asked to play all over Florida at clubs like Firestone, Cyberzone, La vila and Volcano in Orlando as well as clubs in Miami and Ft Lauderdale like Living Room, Rush Street, Club Boca plus many more. Right now he is involved in 8upmuzic.com which is an electronic music community for all to join that have a love for the electronic music scene. So please check that out when you get a chance.
