About Me

"We're developing this country at a very rapid pace with very little attention to wildlife," Taylor said. "In addition, the widespread use of herbicides along roadsides, transgenic crops and expansion into biofuels is reducing habitats for wildlife. These sorts of losses have to be dealt with if we're going to sustain this monarch population. We have to create new habitats and we have to protect the habitats we have." "The monarch migration is truly a wonder," Taylor said. "Here, you have a fragile insect weighing a half a gram, with a tiny brain, that comes out of Mexico in the spring, migrates up to the breeding areas where it has several generations, then migrates back again to an area that the year's last generation has never been to. There are le,bssons for life in this butterfly and we need to protect it. If we don't, we're pretty lousy stewards of this planet and it bodes poorly for our future." http://www.features.ku.edu/monarchs/.. ..I love my fiance Jacob. I really like entomology and going bug hunting. I love it when Jacob goes with me ;) .. .. I like college too much to be cool. I like food network but I don't cook much (at all). I love hanging out with my best friend Amber and my good friend Nikki and I love all of my awesome cousins. I am so lucky for all of the wonderful people in my life. .... I work as a lab assistant at a microbiology lab at a hospital, it is a fun interesting awesome job but it's real hard :P I get to see cool things there and all the people who work there are super nice and helpful. Oh, and I really like anything nostalgic of my childhood such as: Captain Planet, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Old Nickalodian shows, X-men cartoon, A Muppet Christmas Carol when Sesame Street comes to join them at Fozzies house for Christmas, and also the Arctic area of the KU Natural History Museum and Biodiversity Center. Stuff like that. Regular Nintendo, Super Nintendo and of course the best ever SEGA. Oh, and I like zombies too. .. .. And bugs. .. ..I really like dung beets a lot, and cicadas, and mostly anything else in the Arthropod Phylum. Neuroptera, Coleoptera and Hemiptera are my favorites. I really don't like politics or humanities. It may be because I am not too much of a deep thinker. :P But I would much rather get points for speaking in a Western Civ class than having to write a paper. .. What kind of Zombie are you?
You are a Romero Zombie. You walk the earth because there is no more room in hell. You feed on living flesh - anything you can get your decaying hands on. You can be killed by damage to your rotting brain.

If someone squashed you, you probably wouldn't smell very good either. -www.whatsthatbug.com .. The many speak highly of you, but have you really any grounds for satisfaction with yourself if you are the kind of person the many understand? - Seneca

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Steve Irwin, True Wildlife Warrior"In my life dealing with wildlife I've been gauled, clawed, chomped, bitten, savaged, jumped on, whacked on, peed on, even groped and ever single time It's been my fault. If I get bitten I've made the mistake. I knew what I was up against when I went on with that animal..." "It's just that I've got to get the camera, I've got to be right in there, I have to get right fair smack into the action. Because this day has come where the audience, YOU, need to come with me, and be there with that animal... Because if we can touch people about wildlife then they want to save it. If you go to Sea World and you get to have an encounter with a dolphin you want to save dolphins. Gone are the days sitting back on the long lens of the tripod and looking at wildlife way over there. uh-uh. Come with me. Share it with me. Share my wildlife with me because humans want to save things that they love, my job, my mission, the reason I have been put onto this planet is to save wildlife and I thank you for coming with me. yeah. Let's get em'. "
