The skies the limit! is the phrase often boasted by Unique (Dominique), the 19yr old song stress who makes up one half of the local pop sensation better known as Temptation. Along with group member Red (Brittani) the two keep their head to the skies and their eyes on the prize as they work endlessly perfecting their songwriting and performance skills.
Located on Detroits Eastside is Temptation, not the forbidden fruit as it is characterized in the bible but not too far off base of that notion. Unique and Red offer their listeners a sonic temptation. In a world where originality seems to be a thing of the past this group is ready to supply us with a gust of fresh air. Music is nothing new to these two young ladies. Both have roots, which allowed them to grow into the direction they find themselves in today. Brittani is no stranger to the church choir; it was her experiences in the choir, which allowed her to figure out that music was her calling. Dominique figured out making hits was her destiny when a close friend of her family, RnB superstar Aaliyah, told her she can achieve any goal she sets for herself, and from that moment she has hit the ground running.
However the dreams and talent would not be fused until the summer of 2005 when the two hooked up with local hip-hop DJ/producer No-A-Fex. Impressed by their high spirits and brilliant personalities he took the two under his wing and they proceed to work on their long awaited Demo. Even though they set out to create a simple project it became much more. With inspiration flooding in from 80s pop sensations such as the, Eurythmics, Morris Day, Sheila E and Prince along with many more, Temptation along with their producer managed to create a sonically eclectic production loaded with personality and as dynamic as a kaleidoscope.
Whats next for Temptation? Shopping their demo while capturing their dreams. Conquering the music industry is merely one objective on a very long list; Unique and Red are not giving up any time soon. They have their heads to the sky and their eyes on the prize because, The skies the limit
