Chronic Clan consists of Zoro,Gee & Crosby. They are born and raised in Gugulethu, one of Cape Towns, South Africa, roughest ghettos.
Found in 1992 as Fabulous Crew,the clan was given a new name,after some members decided to retire. Zoro(MC), Gee(MC) & Crosby(producer) always had fire for what they believed in and a vision of taking South African sounds to a higher level. Besides their own projects, they make sure that their studio, Spliff Records, functions as a facilitater and encourager to a lot of ghetto youths. The clan has been in the music business for more than a decade and have shared stage with South Africas top artists eg.Malaika, Bongo Muffin, Mandoza etc. Internationally they have played alongside some of the biggest reggae icons like Rita Marley, Queen Omega, Gentleman etc. They appeared in Africa Festival 2005 (Germany),which was part of a Bob Marleys 60th birthday celebration The crew won Best Ragga/Rap artists at the S.A.B.C talent search 2002. Their music is a mix of Ragga/Dancehall/Hip-hop and R&B.
Their conscious lyrics, their stage carisma and their uplifting message gives the audience music of the highest dimensions. When one get to see them live, one realize that the South African sound is out to conquer the world.
Zoro, the founder, who is now based in Sweden is to release his debut album "Gugs News" this summer by Jujurecords(www.jujurecords.com).
