About Me
Jsme ctyri mladý kluci v nejlepÅ¡Ãm veku a fungujeme pohromade nejakých Å¡est let. Každý z nás má ruzné aktivity, zájmy a posloucháme i ruznou muziku. Gizbern tattuje, Korek delá piercing, spoluvydává desky na Korek Records a hraje v Radiolokátor, Klouca má label Samuel Records, distro a zin How Can Limo Kid Kill Your Dreams? a Žrout má spoustu dalÅ¡Ãch hudebnÃch projektu (Poslednà Pránà Mrtvého Humanisty, Radiolokátor). VÅ¡ichni chceme delat kapelu D.I.Y. stylem a spojuje nás láska k metalu, hardcore a punku. (Ha ha) Chrante prátelstvÃ, vinylové desky a zvÃrata! Dekujeme vÅ¡em naÅ¡im kamarádum za podporu – bez Vás by to nemelo smysl!
We are four young boys at their best ages and are together as a band for about six years. Band corner stones were founded by Korek, Zrout and Gizbern and few months later Klouca joined. It was nowhere else, but on the Paluba [the deck] club in Pisek city (now defunct, R.I.P.). We stick to our own instruments since the very beginning, so the lineup goes like: Korek (guitar), Zrout (drums), Gizbern (bass) and Klouca (screams). Our original name used to be B6K (Bobby Six Killer), but it did not last too long. We always wanted to play fast music taken to the extreme and the name of Lahar, with whom Korek came a little later seemed just more like it. Which is how our original name felt into oblivion. We rehearsed for about a half a year and then encouraged ourselves to play our first show. That was sometimes in the autumn of 2002. Since then, Lahar played about 150-170 shows in various cellars, garages, squats, clubs and a few festivals (Fluff, Obscene, Play Fast, Festa De La Pohoda) together with many more or less known bands. Their names are not really that important, but what’s truly important, is that we were enjoying almost every show we ever played. We all have different things we do in life and different stuff we enjoy and we all listen to many kinds of music as well. Gizbern tatooes, Korek does piercings, co-releases records on Korek Records and plays in Radiolokator, Klouca has a distro, a label (Samuel Records), a zine called “How Can Limo Kid Kill Your Dreams?†and Zrout is a member of many other bands (Posledni Prani Mrtveho Humanisty [Last Wish of a Dead Humanist], Radiolokator). We all want to do the band in a D.I.Y. fashion and we all share a common love for metal, hardcore and punk. These things mean a lot to us and it’s not exaggerating to say we have grown up on them. Our lyrics reflects our views of the world that surrounds us and are full dissatisfaction and indeterminateness, which gives a good solid base for being pretty much pissed off. In the end though, they are striving to be positive and motivating. By the way, Lahar is term describing a large mass of rocks, clay and water flowing at high speeds out of the volcano. On it’s way down, it takes away everything it encounters. Forests, hills and sometimes even whole cities. Moonscape is all that’s left after it’s gone. So watch out! *laughs* Please protect friendships, vinyl records and animals! We want to thank to all our friends – without you all of this would never have any meaning.
