About Me

Hi. I'm Ben. I like too much stuff, I've probably inherited my "jack of all trades" genes from my parents. I'm a nerd. But then again, I'm not just a nerd. I'm a geek, a wild and crazy guy, a romantic, and lots more adjectives both good and bad. In fact, people that try to categorize me end up saying "and you're just, 'Ben'" Good or bad, it's true.
I've got two younger brothers...Ryan's 16, and Gabe is 11. They're both weird little children in their own ways...but so am I, I suppose. They are turds, but they're cool.
I live in Hollister, California (yes, like the clothing store. No, we don't have one here, the store is named after the hollister surf ranch near santa barbara.)
I think that smiles are the second best thing in the world, because laughter is even better.
I'm a freshman Mechanical Engineering student at Cal Poly SLO.
I do a lot of acting and singing and dancing. I've been in 10 community theater shows, been on the tech crew for 5, taken both private vocal and dance lessons, and sing in my church choir. Theater's pretty much the bomb diggity. It's an amazing experience and I've met so many cool people doing it.
I'm not into a lot of things things that the cool *cough* people do, like dissing the town I live in in order to make myself sound like I'm too good for it, or adding random people to make myself appear more popular.
That's pretty much me in a nutshell. Actually me in a nutshell is me saying "help, I'm in a nutshell!" But, if you really want to know more about me, here's some more:
Weird skill: I can memorize your birthday or something funny someone said 9 months ago but sometimes I can't remember for the life of me why I walked into a room.
I've never broken a bone...unless you count my 2 front teeth...they're half-fake. Lesson I learned: Car windows don't break when you're pushed into them, they break you.
My favorite animal is the dolphin: It's happy, friendly, active, but can still kick some butt when it needs to.
I don't laugh with myself, I laugh at myself. Trust me, there's a lot to laugh at, but I take it in stride.
I love simple beauty that's pure and uncomplicated. In nature it's easy to find, but it's more elusive in people.
I love the perfection in imperfection.
I put the "pro" in procrastination
Oh, and if you couldn't tell, I talk too much.
Favorite Quotes:
By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest. - Confucius
When the going gets tough, I give up. That's the Nik Batti Promise. - Nikolas Alderico Batti
I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out. - Elizabeth Barrett Browning
An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You would never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience. - Mitch Hedberg
I improve on misquotation - Cary Grant
Don't complement the one who tells the truth, complement the one who lives it. - Me (I can make up quotes and I'm modest...quite a package)
Voil! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis--vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V. - "V" in V for Vendetta
There is no such thing as coincidence, just the illusion of coincidence. - "V" in V for Vendetta
A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having. - "V" in V for Vendetta (What? this movie has great quotes, I can't help it)
I pity the fool - Mr. T

^This changes every 30 seconds, it's remarkably entertaining...
If you're not on my Top4/8/12/16/20/24/I don't even talk to these people that much/100, I'm sorry. It's not a "how much I like/hate you list", it's a tool for my convenience.
