About Me

Little known facts for my friends - For those who knew me when: I'm now a web development director and I am no longer super skinny or super shy. I miss that super skinny part!

For those who met me recently: I used to be a professional dancer; danced for 27 years in fact. That was 30 pounds ago, people.

For those who don't know me well: Yes, I write poetry. Bad or good. I don't know. It's cathartic and some people liked it enough to publish some of it.

For everyone who knows me: I think my friends rock!!!! Go friends!!! Oh yeah, there's that part about me being silly...

My Interests

Spinning, running, weight training, poetry, dance, live music, animals, reading, hiking, metaphysics, quantum mechanics, fashion, shopping, all things uber girly, baseball (once a Cubbie, always a Cubbie!) and obviously anything to do with the web

I'd like to meet:

Michael Hutchcence, John Mayer, Sarah Mclachlan, my great granparents, Martin Luther King, Buddha, Jakob Nielsen, Tim Berners Lee, Harry Caray, Gregory Hines, Barishnikov, Sarah Jessica Parker, (this is a bizarre list!), Bob Fosse, Betty Grable, Marilyn Monroe, Mike Judge, Werner Von Braun (because I am from Huntsville - LOL), Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Louise Gluck

Music:

I love all genres of music except super twangy country songs, death metal and annoying pop songs. Just to give you an idea...in my playlist Olivia Newton John coexsits peacefully with NIN. Dixie Chicks with Coldplay. Jay-Z with Enya. Some rare gems? Inkari, Sisters of Mercy and for some local flava - Here Come the Mummies

Movies:

Movies that have you leaving the theater thinking you can do anything...I'm still paying for that darn baseball field I built...

Television:

Sex and the City, celeb reality-brain rot shows, Mythbusters, Survivor Man, Project Runway, American Idol, What Not to Wear

Books:

Move your Stuff, Change your Life by Karen Raunch Carter, The Between Boyfriends Book by Cindy Chupack, anything by Dan Brown, The Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, Designing Web Usability by Jakob Nielsen, Being Digital by Nicolas Negroponte, Illusions by Richard Bach, Space, Time and Beyond by Dr. Fred Alan Wolf, The Hicthhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, any collection of poetry by Louise Gluck, The White Book

My Blog

MRIs suck and more...

So, I had some thoughts on MRIs after my horrible experience getting one yesterday. I had to get an MRI of my neck. Even though it was an Open MRI, I still didn't like the fact that you are essentiall...
