About Me
Jackie Kopco is a refreshing throwback to the days when the performer was not only the singer, but also the songwriter. Her well-crafted original music finds its roots in pop/folk, wandering easily through intelligent lyrics and captivating melodies. Stylistically, she’s been compared to Jewel, Joni Mitchell, and Jennifer Nettles. She has been performing in the Western/Central Pennsylvania area for 13 years in various capacities. Jackie has also spent time in Nashville, TN and Orlando, FL pursuing music in various forms. She has two albums, Letting Go, a six-song album, and Far From Here, a full-length album. All of the songs on both albums were written and performed (vocals, piano and guitar) by Jackie. The title track from the second album, Far From Here, was also included on a compilation by Quickstar Productions titled, Chill Out: the East Coast Edition, due for release at the end of October, 2007. The disc is a collection of acoustic songs from unsigned east coast artists, and will be available online at iTunes, Napster, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, etc. Jackie has performed to audiences ranging in size from several intent listeners at intimate coffeehouse venues, to crowds of thousands of people at local festivals. Her music appeals to a wide range of ages of listeners and musicians alike, and her following has been steadily growing with every performance.
