Her songs have appeared in such movies as Columbias Gladiator, The Last Dragon, The Boost, South Beach Academy and Guarded Secrets. She has had songs in such television shows as: The Young and the Restless, Fame, CBS Late Night, Chicago Story, Michael Jordan: An American Hero, and the UPN movie What About Your Friends. She co-wrote and co-produced four songs for Fox Family Channel holiday specials: Garage Club Halloween and Garage Club Christmas. In December of 2004, Janet co-wrote all of the featured songs for nationally syndicated TV movie Christmas At Waters Edge. She has recently co-written the theme song for TV entertainment show Made In Hollywood, airing weekly in national syndication.Numerous recording artists have recorded Janets songs. She had a top 10 hit in England with Disappearing Act, sung by Jody Watley of Shalamar (Solar/MCA.) Other recording credits include El DeBarge (Warner Brothers, Thelma Houston (Warner Brothers,) Tony Terry (CBS,) Tyler Collins (Warner Brothers,) Rockwell (Motown,) Charlene (Motown,) Rick Dees (Atlantic Records) and Jimmy Etheridge (Malachai Records.) Four of Janets songs have recently been recorded by jazz artist Leigh Jones on Hidden Beach Records, scheduled for release in 2006. Janet recently co-wrote the ..1 hit in Maui with the group Kontiki. She also has a song coming out in Europe, on a group made of Norwegian Idol finalists.Janet co-wrote the musical By Any Other Name (formerly titled Cole and Porter) with composer Devra Robitaille, which was optioned by Hairspray co-producer John Osher. Janet and Devra were subsequently commissioned by Peter Schneider (producer of The Lion King) to create music for a new musical in development. Janet has recently teamed up with Tom Valdez and Marc Bosserman, to create the rock musical Emerald Man, which is currently playing Off Broadway in the New York Musical Theatre Festival.
