About Me

Layout courtesy of
MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCEWell, I am a painter/sculptor from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I've been living in New York for the past two years working and studying Fine Arts at The Cooper Union. I've just returned from studying in London and I'm settling back into the U.S, but I still have the urge to travel. I believe that I've found a lot of inspiration in urban areas and observing city life. A few years ago, I began a small journal called, The Peacemaker Chronicles, a project consisting of poetry and drawings of urban dwellers, this project is ongoing and has spanned from the east coast to the west coast and now to London. The project became an effort not to look at people in judgment, but to simply set aside their circumstances, normally interact, and try to understand them, understand what brought them to whatever situation they were in. Of course this type of project considers interaction with people that are normally avoided like your the local homeless, gang members, drug dealers, addicts, and any other travelers roaming the streets, but all in good faith and logical caution they have become inspiration and friends. This experiment has also allowed me to really help some people too, from an old man being mugged in New York to a prostitute being beaten in Pittsburgh. Through this art project I've discovered the nature of people from a different perspective and gained inspiration.http://www.facegraf.com i think this film is wonderful:
