I play the bassoon in the Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra. I like walking and love to play tennis (but can't ever find anyone to play with). I also enjoy reading, videogames, singing in my church choir and praise band, and hanging out by the pool. I love to play Scrabble and am always looking for worthy opponents. I do like most board games.
On Myspace, anyone with similar interests to those that I've written about on my profile or in my blog.
I love lots of types of music, but I do love my 80s goofy stuff. I enjoy classical music too. My most recent iTunes purchases were songs by Rockpile, ELO, Violent Femmes, The Shins, KT Tunstall and Ike & Tina Turner. I like a wide variety. I also have a lot of ABBA *GASP!* and Tony Orlando and Dawn on my iPod, so you never know what you are going to get on shuffle!
Hmmm, what have I seen lately. Not enough. Been watching too much American Idol I think. I did see "Pan's Labyrinth" (awesome) and "Zodiac" (SCARY!). Tammy, we still have to go see "Premonition." No one wants to see it with me!!
The Amazing Race, Survivor, The Surreal Life (who knew the guy from the band Poison would be so likable???), The Real World (although they have been a bunch of losers the last several casts), Desperate Housewives, Lost, Scrubs, VH1's Best Week Ever (how did those people get such a cushy job? I want that job!!), SNL (at times funny, but at times it can really get on my nerves). I have been watching Big Love on HBO on demand, and it's a really interesting show.
OK, I've been reading again. In the last month I read "Whiteout" by Ken Follett. Pretty good if you like him. I also read "Queen of Babble" by Meg Cabot. It's flakey, but funny. Not a real deep thinking book. I just finished "End in Tears" by Ruth Rendell. She's an amazing writer. Her detective novels are fantastic. Her other novels are on the weird side, but I like that. She also writes under the name Barbara Vine. I just checked out another book from the library by Ruth Rendell and a Jude Devereaux book called "Wild Orchid" that a friend recommended to me.
