About Me
Drummer from Dallas (Oak Cliff), TX. Currently working the trade out of the over-saturated "live music capital of the world" (Austin, TX., for those out of the loop). Playin' with the Hotrod Hillbillies out of Austin, The Dogkickers out of Dallas, and the always Fearless Band Called Chevy Van out of all 1974!!! Spend a lot of time on I-35. I call it "the back and forth." Some call me "The Waco Kid" due to my time spent drivin' up and down that highway. Should I write a trite fucking Texas Country song about life spent haulin' ass through this nation's corridor in The Great State of Texas? Ummmm, no!!! Way too much of that shit out there already. (Musicians, if you don't get this, please go to Josh Davis' musicians test blog and take his musicians test). Do many side projects and the occasional, but always fun show with The Mighty Green Apple Quick Step!!! Check out their spaces before you leave here! Come to a show and say "hey" and have a reeb.Oh yeah, I taught Advanced Placement Literature and Composition as well as coached Varsity Soccer at the greatness of Woodrow Wilson High School in East Dallas, Texas (or the E.D.T.)for 11 years and loved the kids, Woodrow, and my colleagues in the trenches, but not the system and hence, retired to play rock and roll full-time Take that you fuckin' Texas State Legislature, you...you.....you.....(AAAAAAARGH!!!) Alternative systems may be a good thing I'm thinking. There's always a better story out there. Don't confuse this as a near socialist statement. It's not!!! I'm thinking about lots of money and grand causes.
