About Me

I love finding interesting things and using them in different ways to create little wearable pieces of work. I hate waste so I try to reuse whatever I can. No one will ever throw away a book, game, hardware or any piece of jewelry if I have anything to say about it!
I have been making things for as long as I can remember. My mother was a full time crafter when I was growing up. I have many childhood memories behind a craft table and running around craft shows. I even remember my favorite vendor that went to a lot of shows my mom did. (Stuffed animals, of course!)
My experience with jewelry started when I was pretty young. I had this pink unicorn duffle-bag shaped purse. It was completely filled with beads. They were all mixed up and in every color. I made bracelets on stretchy string. I loved the feel of the beads as much as I loved the look of them.
I had moved on to other creative outlets - like music, for example - for years. Then one day that pink unicorn bag showed up again and I made a necklace. I was hooked again!
I sell my items in person at craft shows around Lancaster, PA and online. I have a full time job as a paralegal, and I also have been working on a Bachelor's Degree part-time. (For my calendar of local Lancaster, PA events, go to my website and click on "events" www.BBBellezza.com)

My Interests

Of course, making jewelry! I also love to take day trips to weird places, looking at abandoned places, reading, listening to podcasts and music and spending time with my family.

I'd like to meet:

Positive people. Other jewelry designers and artists, people from Lancaster, other crafters, and of course, anyone who loves jewelry!

Music:

My musical interests change by the minute. There are some groups that I always love: The Beatles, The Doors, U2, Indigo Girls, Tori Amos, Sublime, Weezer, R.E.M., etc.

Movies:

All-time favorite movie is Life is Beautiful. It is a beautiful movie that brings me to tears every time. Napolean Dynomite is a favorite comeday. I love a lot of other movies, too. Mainly independent dramas. I also have to admit that I love musicals.

Television:

The only current show I watch is The Office. I am also a huge Seinfeld fan.

Books:

Heroes:

People who do the right thing even though it isn't the easy thing to do. Honesty and integrity are the two most important qualities to me. People who stand up for what they believe in.My boyfriend, Jim. My step-daughter.
