Marcelo Noya first became interested in music as a child. By the time he was 13 years
old, he showed a real passion for music, so he started organizing parties and DJ-ing at
them. In 1989, he studied music and was soon invited by DJ Tony R to perform House
and New Beat music styles in many venues in Sao Paulo city such as, Venus de Milo,
Creations Valley, BadWolf, Option 2 and many other venues there.
In 1993 he was invited to perform in Japan, and in July of that year, helped launch a
new club called Bi-wan, where he introduced Tech House and Euro Trance Music styles.
He performed there until January 2007.
Throughout his residency at Bi-wan, Marcelo was also invited to perform in many
venues in Japan. They include: PlanetCafé (as a resident DJ and producer of a monthly
event called Cyber Connection, for 2 years), J-Max, Master Club, IDBar (Mega Quality
Event), Emporio (for 1 year in 2002), HardRock, Nakatjima Beach Party (the biggest
event in Hamamatsu city in front of more than 10.000 people), and also Island of Mikawa Oshima. In 2006 he worked with Sonic System at Act City in Hamamatsu to
produce a huge event called Brazil Extreme, promoted by SPY NC, to Latin American
community in Japan. In the same year he also performed at the legendary VELFARRE
in Tokyo, for 6 months.
From January till October of 2007, he performed at Fahrenheit Music Hall and in April
was invited to become a resident DJ for SunMoon Agency to perform at Parada in
Toyohashi city, new Emporio’s and DownUnder Café, in Hamamatsu city.
In February of 2008 Marcelo helped to launch Hunters Event Hall, Hamamatsu city,
where he now performs as a resident. In the same year he performed at Mado Lounge
- Roppongi Hills, Tokyo (produced by K-Sounds), as well as traveling to other events
around Japan.
His style blends elements of House, Tech, Progressive and Trance Music. Such fusion and
vast experience has inspired Marcelo to work on his own music and in doing so, he has
come to the realization to be a music producer and to provide an uplifting
experience at any venue where he performs. Text written by Kate Wasley...
