I am a filmmaker living in Los Angeles. PLACEBO is the short film I most recently wrote and directed. PLACEBO is the story of Daniel, a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic who has stopped taking his medication and is struggling to decipher reality from his own delusions. The situation becomes dire when he returns home with blood on his shirt and tries to convince his frightened girlfriend that the bad men are back.
The film stars Jason Ritter from the Lion's Gate Film, HAPPY ENDINGS, and the upcoming CBS sitcom The Class. Ritter has also starred in the CBS drama, Joan of Arcadia.
We are proud to announce that PLACEBO recently screened at the Toronto International REBELFEST Film Festival and the Chicago International REEL Shorts Festival, and has also been accepted to the upcoming California Independent Film Festival.
PLACEBO will be screening at the California Independent Film Festival on Saturday, October 28th, in the Livermore Wine Country of the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. PLACEBO will screen at 1:00pm at Wente Vineyards in Livermore. We cordially invite you to attend a screening to support the film and the filmmakers. We look forward to seeing all of you there!!!
