Kenneth has always loved to stand infront of an audience & has in addition to performing music gained a reputation as a public speaker through preaching & hosting events. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------ 1994-1998 - STARTING OUT: I formed my first rapgroup when I was 14 and it has pretty much felt like I've been doing the same band since then despite all the member and style changes. I have done rap music with all the different musical backgrounds you can imagine: I have had guys playing hardcore, rock, punk, funk, disco, techno, hiphop, djing, jazz and just about whatever in the background of my rapping. I kind of started out opposite of what most artists does cause my bandmate knew how to record - so we layed down 20 tracks on a 4 channel taperecorder before playing a single show back in 94. My first gig came across after a longer brake and I got together with a few of my friends and we showcased our "hardcore rap rock techno crossover" mixture on New Years eve 1998. We recieved great feedback from the audience and a jurney that would lead me to stand infront of thousands of people was about to begin......... ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------- 1999-2004 - THE YEARS ON THE ROAD: I got my first big break through BOBBY JAMES MANAGEMENT in Norway back in 99'. After playing the Scandinavian Music Festival the same year I was discovered by the young and ambigious guys in Bobby James that saw my potential and was amazed by the energic show I braught to the audience together with my rapoutfit called MD-PROJECT. The period from 2000 to 2004 was pretty much a nonstop tour for me were I was featured as an artist on the TRANSITION SHOW that toured Norway nonstop for 3 years. Transition was a show consisting of many different acts such as dancers, musicians, comedians and other entertainers. The promoters usually rented Cinema halls to host the events and we had fullbooked shows pretty much wherever we went. The tour included a large scale team of tech crew and performers with effects like pyros, confetti & big screen production - These years thaught me most of what I know on how to create a good show as I ended up beeing the producer of the show aswell as one of the performers. In addition to this I played with my band called 2ND TRY on our own tour and the memories of this period is a lovely blur of not being able to tell the difference from where I was playing - only knowing I had the time of my life meeting new people, playing awesome shows & seeing new places!! What made these years of touring possible for me was the fact that we pretty much just played weekends so I could actually have a fulltime job to support me finacially (cause we all know theres no money in rock n roll). So I was blessed with great officers in the army that let me take time off and play shows pretty much whenever I wanted to those 4 years I served my country in the Royal Norwegan airforce (they still nag about not seeing me on MTV though....)! ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------- 2004-2009 - MOVING AWAY: After moving to Estonia I formed a band and started experimenting with different styles of music leaving the rap behind for a bit. These radical changes made me discover new sides of myself as a musician that I'm using today as I'm back to my more "original" sound! These 2 years saw me going from straight out rock & roll to solo rap before landing on some melodic crossover stuff with an edge joined by my new band outfit from Tallinn (Ken Marquess the band). During the period we have played together Ken Marquess has performed for audiences across Estonia & shared stage with wellknown acts. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------- Heres some of my HIGHLIGHTS: - Performed on a big outdoor show for 4000 people back in 2000 - Opened for The Tribe (UK) in 2004 for 3000 people - Toured in Estonia, Norway and Macedonia - Played with the Youth Action Tour for a fullseated Parnu Consert Hall aswell as playing in Tartu Consert Hall - Performing act on Tivolii Tuur in Estonia summer (06), Headlined a consert in Kuressaare that drew several hundred people.
