This is a poem I wrote...hence the myspace name:
At the Rogue's Gallery
Portrait
What is it you wish to ask? I say.
It hangs on you like an unfinished portrait on the wall.
What mystery awaits unfolding in your frame?
What story to yet be displayed on your canvas?
So paint the tale and release the mystery.
Ask what things do ponder in your creation.
She smiled. My heart grew as she softly spoke,
What pain left not mended did break your brush?
Why Rogue, have you then not yet finished that which you start?
For so young were you when the dream came.
For so long have you yet to see.
That the mystery tis not mine to reveal, but ours.
I am yet undone as you.
The empty canvas but awaits your touch.
Tis you who finish the scene.
I smiled. Her heart grew as I softly spoke.
You know me well, yet should.
We are of the same canvas, a portrait drawn by us.
I have long dreamed to find that which we sought.
I am here now to finish that which I start.
It was your face I drew, and mine by you.
It was your heart that mends my brush.
I am yours, drawn for and only by you, as you for and only by me.
Let us then complete that which only we can make.
