full artist biography:
well, let's see, truth be told, this whole thing started a long time ago. it was somewhere around ten years old when i started playing my dad's acoustic guitar just for the fun of it. i really had no idea what i was doing, i still don't totally claim to, but over time things started to come together. i'd read something here or there, learn a song from a book, or sometimes just stumble upon something familiar while just messing around. all i knew then was that i loved playing guitar. eventually, after a couple years, original songs started to make their way into my practice routine. about the same time, i was straying away from the alternative music i'd pretty much grown up on until that point, and finding my way into the punk scene. point blank, mxpx pretty much changed my life. after seeing them play a show in march of '99, i finally had the direction i'd been lacking. since then, i've gotten into many different styles of music, strayed away from those roots, but all the while kept the focus on the fact that i had found a true love for music and that i wanted it to be a part of my life. at that point, my long time friend ashley and i were hard at work on our music and band, exit 37. it was after countless bassists, and drummers, and disappointments trying to get exit 37 out of the practice space and onto a stage that the project was eventually abadoned. after that set-back, and about a year or so of pretty dark downtime brought on by several events in my life, i decided it was time to do something about this, all alone if i had to. and so, though the seeds existed for a very long time, reflection was officially born with the new year, 2005, almost as a resolution that i won't waste anymore time. thanks for reading, and i hope you enjoy the music i make.
