NONE MORE BLACK
Because the signals that you send tend to bend and bob and weave and never reach your destination quite the way you planned it, And silence is a language that I'm fluent in, Cause practice makes perfect, And I spend a lot of time by myself.
THE ALMIGHTY - OBLIVIONI saw this and I thought of you

I received a food parcel yesterday Yeah - Red Cross . . . from India. And written in cheap ink on the outside of the package I could just make out the words To our unfortunate cousins in England.I was baffled, I mean, I haven't got any cousins in India. And why send it to me? Who the hell told them I was unfortunate?Indignant.I ripped at the old string and torn wrapping paper angry at this cheap joke. My hand found a box, Serenity, written across it. "What?" I said, "I'll kill the bastard who did this. "Another box, this was marked,Foregiveness. Confused, I pulled out another, Understanding, it said.Enough of this nonsense. What the hell was going on? I needed to know NOW!Patience, said the next packet. This was starting to get to me. Why the hell would anyone send all this to me? Shaking, I reached for the next box.Compassion."I don't need your bloody compassion," I shouted "You need mine. That's why we give money to Oxfam. And sponsor children in India and complain about donor fatigue We've got it all You envy us. "I pulled out the next box. Humility, it said. I picked up the boxes and threw them against the wall. Kicked them across the room. Stamped on them All the time trying to find one marked, Self-Control.And when I could finally throw and kick and stamp no more, I fell to the floor And criedAnd when I opened my eyes lying on the floor in front of me was a box marked, Acceptance.I stared at it for a long moment. Then, mechanically I found my fingers Prising the box open Another packet fell out, Gratitude.I leaned back against the wall, surveyed the chaos in my room and began to wonderDo I have the courage to open another box? Or shall I just pretend this never happened?Stanley Knill
