Wahidah Fowler is a artist that resides in Brooklyn, NY. She is currently going into her 3rd semester at SUNY Purchase College. Her major is Fine Arts. Wahidah’s art usually documents different elements of hip hop, popular culture and social change that embodies the African American community through her paintings. On average she uses acrylic on canvas to create the majority of her pieces, though she does not limit herself to only acrylic on canvas. Her artwork also consist of sculptures, layering/collage and mix media.--------------------------------------------
