Mike put out his debut album, "Darker Machines", in 2004 on Copperspine Records. With the help of Futcher (Be Good Tanyas), Brendan Ostrander (Daniel Powter), Chris Carlson (Tegan and Sara) as well a few other friends, he crafted a collection of indie rock, acoustic murmerings and songs with a heartfelt backbeat. It was well received for both the depth of the songwriting and its intimate, beautiful delivery. Charting on independent and college radio, with some spins on CBC and some T.V. placements, he toured nationally with Tegan and Sara, Kinnie Starr, Girl Nobody and Lily Frost in 2004-05 and went over to England twice the next year. (once as in invitee to play the Canada day celebration at Canada House in London) Playing sporadically over the last year, the semi-reclusive songwriter has been living in Montreal and Vancouver, compiling songs, fans and friends along the way. Expect a second album in late 2006.
