About Me

My name is Nathan Kent McFarland. I am a MTSU 2004 graduate and i reside in Nashville, Tn. I play lead guitar in a rock band called Eve's Hero. I also write,play, and record with my friend Adam Cochran who lives in Alabama. We met 5 years ago and we started playing metal together. Shortly after we recorded a cd called The Cure for Death and now we are currently working on material for our next independent release. I am truly blessed to be playing with so many great musicians who I also consider my closest friends. I work at the Gibson manufacturer building electric guitars and basses. I am passionate about the playing and study of the guitar. I have saved my money like a good little boy and i finally have my recording studio set up. i am fully functional and am able to record anything from simple singer/songwriter demos to full band recordings. if you have any interest in getting your songs recorded then feel free to send me a message.

My Interests

Playing guitar and listening to music. i love recording/producing/engineering killer songs.

I'd like to meet:

i would like to meet Jars of Clay and the guys from Extol. 2 totally different kinds of music but they have the same passion for Christ. probably Bono would be next on the list and Joe Satriani the shredding guitar master.

Music:

i like it, duh!!!!!

Movies:

movies over the years have gotten so trashy that its hard for me to enjoy them anymore. what happened to good ol clean comedy or a drama that doesn't have to say the F$%& word every sentence. people just accept it as the norm and we have tolerated it for too long. star wars and lord of the rings have no cursing in them at all and they still kick butt. chew on that hollywood!!!

Television:

i like some shows but i like playing guitar more. even though Lost has taken my life by storm and im a sucker for 7th heaven but yeah, recording and playing guitar takes up most of my time.

Books:

anything about music and God.

Heroes:

Anybody who has a passion for something and pursues it full force. My brother is a hero to me. He has the heart of a champion!!! my friends Carrie, April and Christin for always being there to keep me awake while i drive back to Nashville from a gig or a practice. Susan Quiggle for being the bestest friend ive ever had. even though we live 4 hours apart, i feel she is right here with me. Jesus, you are the famous one!!! Creator and keeper of my soul until the day of redemption. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!!!
