Carolus Rex

Since its formation in January 2003, Carolus Rex has gone from strength to strength. This innovative ensemble of vocalists has performed at numerous venues to great acclaim.Audiences at St Martin in-the-Fields, Worth Abbey, Kensington Palace and the Turkish Embassy have delighted in their rich offering of ensemble music.They have a wide and eclectic repertoire including composers such as Maurice Durufle, Joseph Gentry Stephens and Carl Rütti.Sea Shanties were a specialty for HRH Princess Anne’s dinner in the Painted Hall, Christmas Carols for GMTV in Trafalgar Square and traditional church music in Blackheath.They are already achieving commercial success and have several engagements for 2009. Carolus Rex has released its first CD.The ensemble is currently coached by Dr Linda Hirst and Deborah Miles-Johnson.
