The Ivys are an indie rock four-piece from Sydney who collaborated with legendary producer Steve James for their debut EP ‘Inside Out’. The band’s high energy and upbeat melodies are sure to establish a strong following. The opening track ‘Give It Up’ is a catchy and danceable tune. The title track is more concentrated on lyrics and mood. ‘Dah Dah Dah’ has a light-hearted feel to it, reminiscent of The Fratellis’ ‘Chelsea Dagger’ but still true to The Ivys sound. If their debut album is as good as this EP then there’s bright future ahead for these Sydney kids. - Scene (QLD)
