Bio:
On October 14, 1985, a chapter in history was written. Discreet aka Greg Joynson would begin his journey in a cold unforgivable world. His alcoholic parents had an abusive relationship which led them to divorce when he was 4 years old, and his father moved across the country. Living in the lower class part of town, poverty wasn't just a figure of speech. By the time he was 17 he was selling drugs just to buy a jacket to keep him warm, living in a home with a broken furnace and a roof that leaks. Just before graduation at age 17 in 2003 he was kicked out of high school due to lack of attendance.
Growing up was a struggle for him and his twin brother Dustin. Seeing so much pain at a such a young age. Just before his parents split up, his father couldn't control his anger and struck his mother in the face. Knocking her teeth out she needed emergency dental work done. The dentist didn't sterilize his equipment properly and his mother contracted hepatitis B. Ever since, her immune system is so weak it cannot fight off an infection that the average human could handle. Watching his mother suffer has made him the man he is today. He is close to his mother and admires her ability to survive.
The greatest portion of his inspiration comes from his mother, his daughter Brooklyn and his wife Sasha.
Discreet has focused his music around his childhood, family, the lifestyle he chose and the harsh reality we face today called life. He writes, records and mixes his own music and produces his own instrumentals. He even designs his own cover art and graphics.
