Milgram's 27

About Me

Formed at the end of 2006 (in recent form) Milgram's 27 (M27 fer short) brings together a mixture of influences from rock, reggae, jazz, pop, and soul. Covers range from the 50's to the present and include Bob Marley, Coldplay, Ben Harper, Marvin Gaye, Violent Femmes, Van Morrison, the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Costello, Hank Sr., maybe even some Bon Jovi (We can all just really relate to that Jon Bon Jovi and the lyrical and songwriting genius that he has become! though, I think Rob just likes his chest hair:-), etc. Songwriting style is just a combination of all these influences with a tendency for silly social commentary and serious... well there's nothing really serious. Just a few guys that like to make music, or noise (you say toe mae toe I say ta mot oh), shoot the bull (Literally we’re bull hunters, though Todd retired last year after a bull with a bullet proof vest stuck a horn... well there are some things you just shouldn't discuss on a myspace page :-), and have a good time. Thanks for checking in on us,JASps I was just joking about Rob liking Bon Jovi's chest hair, but Todd really did take a horn in the ass from a bull jk:-0 :-) :-( :-l ... sorry sometimes i just get emotional when I type. THE NAME... The name is a reference to a 1961-62 social psychology experiment on obedience by Stanley Milgram. If you are feeling lazy that's all you need to know.... if you wanna look it up, here ya go...... just copy and paste the following link to your browser you nosy little thing....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milgram_experiment

Sounds Like: lot of rock, motown, jazz, and blues influence mashed together with a pop spatula then sprinkled with a tinge of folk/acoustic stuff and some country or bluegrass stuff. Served with a side of face melting... oh yeah.

I hate election years

I was talking with a very dear friend of mine the other day and the topic shifted (probably my fault) over to politics, more specifically to voting and who to vote for.  I began to tell him how I...

Who cares about pop?

This is just an opinion and in no way a claim to be an authority on pop or any other style of music.  In other words, you probably shouldn't even read this& just another rant. ..:namespace prefi...

Band Names

There has been an ongoing discussion amongst us as band mates about changing the name of the band.  One of the most despicable things imaginable is sitting around tossing out band names, "I like ...
