Ok, a little (or a lot LOL) about me and what I do....
People ask me what I do for a living, my reply is usually "What do you need?" As an entrepreneur it's sometimes easier to tell you what I don't do! I don't live for money, money is great, but freedom is greater. I live for freedom of creativity, freedom of expression, and I damn sure live for freedom of speech! I have fought many battles for this, and frankly I am just grateful that I have lived this long!!
My occupation of choice is marketing, although I have done various types of marketing I have moved away from the 'high-end' clients because it became tedious and so damn boring!YOu would assume that the type of clients that I had would be living some glamorous life, but they were mostly downright miserable. So I took a pay cut... now instead of running around taking photos of the same old mansions (cos they all look the same inside), developing websites for companies that all sell the same boring shit, and designing brochures full of fake ass models and products that only an old politicians wife could ever appreciate, I took my talent to the gutta where I belong hahah.
I stick with music marketing these days. It allows me to be creative, stretch my imagination, and implement my own ideas, so instead of looking at a product and wondering how the hell i'm going to make this bullshit appear interesting, I now take a product that I already appreciate, work with it, add my own ideas and concepts (that are just WAY out there!) and turn it into a complete package. I admit, I am on some different shit, as you probably already see, but that is what it takes to get you noticed out here in such a competitive field. I do not do shit to blend-in or look pretty. I do shit that's gonna make you stand out like a mutherfucker. My job is to get a mutherfucker's attention and hold it long enough to make sure they never forget what they just saw.
My work has got me into all kinds of bullshit, a video I shot and appeared in (Retribution) got me arrested on homocide charges. But I beleive in my shit, and I will not give up my passion for anyone. I still get people asking me if that damn video was real, or "did you really kill that guy?", or "is that one of those snuff movies?" AS LONG AS YA'LL STILL ASKING I KNOW MY WORK IS EFFECTIVE! That is my career - making a bitch say 'WHAT?!"
You won't see any 'typical' shit in any of my work. You'll never see a ho's ass, rented cars or champagne in anything of mine - just a sick mind and some off-the-wall shit. I market with personality, not the stereotypical bullshit that has sabotaged OUR MUSIC!
