i don't have a favorite author but i like the work of edgar allan poe, charles dickens, shirley jackson, nathaniel hawthorne, shakespeare(yes, the shakespeare!), jane austin, oscar wild, laura esquivel, emily dickinson, elizabeth barrett browning, robert frost, anne rice, and "the godfather" by mario puzo. there are other authors but too many to name.
