About Me

I am a mother of 3 wonderful boys & I am also a Marine Wife! My husband & I met in the 8th grade but didn't start dating till 11th grade & have been together for 15 years. We are from Texas, after Michael joined the Marine Corps we moved to South Carolina, then back to Texas, then to Okinawa Japan, then back to South Carolina & we just moved to California in January 2008. I miss my friends in South Carolina!! Being a full time hair stylist in 2007 was a wonderful experience & I miss the girls from the salon. I stayed at home with the boys until they were all in school & then I took a deep breath & decided to go to college. I have learned that the small stuff really isn't worth worrying about. I have learned in the last 6 years who my friends really are and what it's like to have true friends that would do anything for you... and got rid of the ones that stabbed me in the back! I think life is way too short to sit back & watch it pass by! I am a fly by the seat of my pants kinda gal I like to just think of something & just get up & do it.... I am married to a let's plan it out kinda guy so we keep each other balanced in everyday life:-) I am proud to say my husband fights for our country & freedom! I think the hardest deployment emotionally for me was when Michael was sent to Afghanistan with his bomb dog cause I knew he would be searching for bombs so I was a nervous wreck for 4 months living by myself with the kids in Okinawa Japan! BUT I did have my military family there & they got me through it because that is what we do we get each other through the rough times cause our family can't be there! I can't believe I am the mother of a teenager that is now taller than me!! It doesn't seem like I have been out of school that long... Oh the memories of high school are great;-) Sometimes getting a glimpse of the past & wondering what might of happened if only I did this or didn't do that is great but... to truly live in the moment & be happy with life you have to be happy with yourself first! My friend Talina says I am witty you know I can come up with a smart ass remark pretty quick... I must have gotten that from my Dad or my brother;-) LOL I am proud to say I am from Texas.. Go Longhorns WOOHOO!!! My family story (both Mom & Dad's sides) are dramatic & suspenseful my friend says I should write a book cause all women wanna read gossip!! I have to say My Family tree does have some nuts & squirrels in it but whose family doesn't!?! LOL Life can be hectic at times but we all have to find the strength to move through it so we can get to the good parts;-)

My Interests

I wear no uniforms, no blues or greens. But I am in the military in the ranks rarely seen. I have no rank upon my shoulders, salutes I do not give. But the military world is the place where I live.I'm not in the chain of command, orders I do not get. But my husband is the one who does, this I cannot forget. I'm not the one who fires the weapon, who puts my life on the line. But my job is just as tough. I'm the one that's left behind.My husband is a patriot, a brave and prideful man, And the call to serve his country, not all can understand. Behind the lines I see the things needed to keep this country free. My husband makes the sacrifice, but so do our kids and me.I love the man I married. Patriotism is his life. But I stand among the silent ranks known as the military wife.

We don't have any definate dates yet but the Marine Corps is saying Miramar, California (which is by SanDiego) will be our next duty station. December should be when we move since that is when we move...
