DJ Maddox has been influenced by music his entire life. Since 1996 has been a strong part of the Dance Music Community working as a manager and promoter for both Dance and Hip Hop shows. Under his former label he has worked with such artists as Run DMC, De La Soul, DJ Doc Roc, Malicious Mike, DJ Irene, Kimball Collins, DJ Icey, Baby Anne, Slick Rick, Ice T, Micro, DJ Trashy, DJ Monk, DJ Rap and more recently DJ Motivate of the Black Eyed Peas.
Maddox's love of music comes from his love of dance. He has danced since the age of 7 and began B-boying and Popping later in life. In 1998 he joined Atl's Burn Unit (B-boy crew.) Lyfe is a strong supporter of the Hip-Hop Culture and enjoys showing his support when judging for Hip-Hop competitions like Breaklanta.
Maddox spent 3 years cruising the Caribbean "living the life" relaxing on different beaches everyday and spinning every night of the week for a packed crowd. He has recently performed in the Bahamas, Virgin Islands (US & British), Grand Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico, Cozumel, Costa Rica, Costa Maya, Cancun, Panama, Belize, Jamaica, Antigua, St. Maarten, Key West, New Orleans, and through out Florida. More recently in Myrtle Beach, SC he has already made a lasting impression in the area breaking attendance records in the venues he has performed in. Also has made great impressions with local radio stations, newspapers, and magazines. Lyfe is currently in Las Vegas spinning for companies such as Georgio Armani.
