Tom Hyatt & the Firebrats

About Me

About the Firebrats
In Autumn 2006, four friends got together to make some good music. On vocals and guitar was Tom Hyatt, the songwriter inspired by the past. Playing keyboards was Luke Bramwell, the man of a thousand facial expressions and interesting sounds. On bass guitar was Dean Leyland, "short and dandy, sweet like candy" with a love of things that slap and pop. On drums was John Waller, a powerhouse of rhythm whose drum kit gave out before he did.
Gigs were played, fans were made but, inevitably, the Firebrats strayed. Now scattered across the country in the search of "higher education", I often look back on the good times we had as that foursome and smile, knowing that I won't soon forget them. Perhaps one day we'll play again, although that is most entirely down to fate.
The music of the Firebrats lives on, however, in the mind of it's songwriter Tom, currently performing solo. His myspace page can be found below:

After a gig at The Matinee in Burnley on the 08/04/07, bohemian-based eighteen Sam Stevens had this to say about the set:
"That was... and don't think I'm being funny or anything, but that was... amazing. Like, intoxicating. I've only had one pint, but I swear your mum and dad must think that I'm a rough diamond, because everytime they see me I'm dancing like a loon to your music!"
