FanXstitch

I'm Vickey Brickle-Macky, age 56, Leo Virgo cusp, mother to 7 ages 39g, 36b, 32g, 31g, 27g, 25b and 24b, grandmother to 6 1/2 ages 12 1/2g, 10b, 3 1/2g, 3 1/2g, and 11 months b, 7 month g, and one due in March. Married for 4th time for the last almost 17 years. I'm in Cayce a suburb of Columbia, SC. Four of my kids and 3 1/2 of my grandkids are here. I have one black and tan dog, Spike, that is 1/3 wolf with the rest Black Lab and German Shepard, he's 3 and a big baby.I've been a working professional fine and commercial artist since 1966, mainly fantasy, custom artwork, paintings, and murals. I craft in a long list of mediums, and materials. You name it, and I've probably tried it at one time. I used to do Sci-Fi cons as an artist, fanzine writer/illustrator, and I used to design needlepoint canvases and cross stitch patterns professionally for my self, PhoeniX Stitchery now FanXstitch, and did free lance design work for Stitcher's World magazine in the late 90's--dragons, snowmen, other fantasy characters, and Celtic knot work. I sell my patterns as downloadable pdfs on Ebay as fanxstitch.For my knitting and crocheting I'm spinning and dyeing my own fibers to use in projects. For the last 5 years I've been spinning on both spindles and wheels, dyeing, and collecting wools from various rare breeds of sheep worldwide along with other unusual fibers. I also been researching historical sheep breeds for a book I've eventually going to do for reenactors so they can figure out which sheep breed to use from a particular time and location for their projects.I'm just starting on rug hooking, punch needle, and other types of rugs. I'm still learning about them. I do have almost all the supplies though from years of crafting and inheriting relatives craft stashes. Though on the rug hooking I am thinking about using my handspun dyed yarns instead of wool fabrics-- I saw on the Rughooking Online site an article about using handspun wools and there has been much discussion about rug hooking with handspuns on my spinning lists recently which is why I'm trying to learn more about it.I still do fantasy paintings and design tattoo flash.Vickey in SC
