About Me

BMI Songwriter Rene J. Foley (a.k.a. Rennie) is a native New Orleanian who has spent over 15 years on the Los Angeles music scene plying his trade as a songwriter, as well as a producer and performer.

Songwriting is a passion that has always burned deep inside Rene for as long as he can remember. He loves the canvas that songwriting allows him, and enjoys painting vivid, meaningful songs that take the listener on a journey with him. His mix of R&B/Pop is a style that's eloquent and pleasing to the ear.

I broke the radio barrier with an appearance performing live on "Talk of The Town" - KRMD AM 1340 with Tom Pace during the prime time drive home hour.

Since then, Rennie's music is on rotation with KSCL radio - FM 91.3 and Outbound Radio (see the link on this page).

In May, 2007, Derrick 4 Real featured Rennie on his radio show on WEBR-FM in Fairfax, Virginia. "Rennie has a great sound, reminds me of Ne-Yo."
