Best friends since attending Stephen M. White middle school, PoLo and Six began their careers as battle rappers, writing verses and freestyling merely as a hobby. Once a knee injury permanantly sidelined PoLo from his love of basketball, the two began to focus on music as a possible career and eventually signed with an independent label out of Compton, California.
After creative differences, PoLo and Six left the label. Dissapointed, they took a break from music but soon found themselves working with Hook, a producer PoLo met in college. During this time Six began making beats alongside Hook, and soon he was making beats all on his own. Pretty soon Hook began to start a family and PoLo and Six were on their own.
Now working out of Barcode studios in Reseda, California, the rap duo have come a long way. With Six focusing on production and PoLo as the spokesman for the Youngstas, they plan on making 2007 the year of the Youngsta. With an album coming soon, keep checkin' for the Youngstas.
