Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure.

About Me

OBSERVATION 5/21/07: Ok - why can I not WAIT to see Transformers!? Talk about old school! "Transformers, more than meets the eye!" Y'all young folks don't know nuthin bout that....... OBSERVATION 5/20/07: Just read "Cooked" by Jeff Henderson - an excellent book on how he went from being a drug lord to the executive chef at the Bellagio in Vegas after doing a 10 year bid. Like I always say, ain't nothin to it but to do it!....... OBSERVATION 5/18/07: I'm off to Jamaica in two weeks (yeah mon!) so new pictures will be posted soon.... OBSERVATION 5/10/07: People ask me why I mostly only have pictures of myself on my page; I just don't think its right to put someone's photo online without their permission - then people wanna get all mad when their picture appears on the internet with their head on someone else's naked body!......... OBSERVATION 3/8/07: OK, let me go ahead and set the record straight. Please do not assume that I am supporting Barack Obama for president simply because he is 'black'. This is an insult not only to my intelligence, but also to my sense of both civic and social responsibility. I also do not expect every black Democrat to vote for Obama, as that expectation would reduce an entire race of people to nothing more than puppets, incapable of thinking or acting based on intellect, logic, experience and good old common sense. So please - don't get it twisted...... OBSERVATION 2/20/07: www.barackobama.com ....... OBSERVATION 2/10/07: Wow, who would have thought that people actually care about what I have to say on my page - thanks for reading and showing an interest; you know who you are........OBSERVATION 2/9/07: Don't sleep on Tamia's new album "Between Friends" - it's pretty fly...... OBSERVATION 2/4/07: "Anywhere you lead I'll follow, if you need somebody Lord I'll go. If nobody else wants to go, say it Lord, it's alright send me"...would YOU go?........ OBSERVATION 1/30/07: Well, I was starting to feel old with grown folks calling me 'Auntie', so I had to change my name - it sounds much cuter when 5-year-olds say it....... OBSERVATION 1/25/07: In case I have some strange or old or crazy song on my page, don't worry - I haven't lost my mind! I'm competing in myspace music battles so let this serve as my official 'disclaimer'!....... OBSERVATION 1/18/07: "Ni**as can't make it to ballots to choose leadership, but we can make it to Jacob's and to the dealership" - Kanye West........ OBSERVATION 1/17/07: Looks like Barack Obama is actually going to run in '08 (along with some other talented candidates) so that means y'all have over a year to do your research, get registered, take the day off work if need be, get a babysitter, get a ride, and do all of the other things that come up as excuses as to why folks can't vote. Feel me???......... OBSERVATION 1/16/07: OK - why is "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" the best R&B/HipHop/Jazz/NeoSoul album that I've heard in a long time?! Don't sleep on this cat!...... 1/1/07: Alright people it's 2007 so remember - "don't speak about it, BE ABOUT IT" and "ain't nothin' to it, BUT TO DO IT". Let's get it!!!....... OBSERVATION 12/30/06: I know I said it once but it bears repeating - Barack Obama in '08!..... OBSERVATION 12/29/06: Shout out to T & V - the "No Scrubs" karaoke on the cruise was off the chain! Don't hate; we can't all be T-Boz!.......... OBSERVATION 12/19/06: I just noticed that the guys who post pictures of themselves with their shirts off or in their underwear, trying to look all sexy - actually look pretty gay. I'm just saying..... OBSERVATION 12/18/06: I saw the movie Blood Diamond this weekend - I highly recommend you check it out - if you can handle the truth...... OBSERVATION 12/16/06: "I backflipped on the mattress they slept on me on" - Lupe Fiasco is the truth........... OBSERVATION 12/13/06: Even though I have over 1600 profile views, I only have 37 friends - just as a heads up, if you send me a friend request with no message and I have no idea who you are, I most likely won't accept it........ OBSERVATION 12/10/06: I saw Apocalypto this weekend - it's a deep movie but just don't eat before you go see it..... OBSERVATION 12/9/06: It's funny to me that everyone says I look 'tall' in my pictures - nah, I'm sweet & petite and yes that is my real hair and no I've never had braces! LOL!...... OBSERVATION 11/11/06: "All my folk who ain't alive, hope they live in the sky" - RIP Gerald Levert and RIP to all the people I've lost personally; Blue, Jamie, Ann, Mama, Granddaddy, Summer Hill Mama, Sarah - we miss you...... OBSERVATION 11/10/06: Shout out to those of you who went out and voted in the mid-term election - yet for those of you that walk around talking about "voting ain't for me", perhaps you need to have a high pressure water hose sprayed at you or barking dogs biting at your heels or your children blown to bits while sitting in church for you to appreciate what it means to be able to vote. Hey - it may sound harsh but its real in the field...... OBSERVATION 9/19/06: Here's my ghetto story - what you know about (1) going to the corner store with 25 cents and getting enough candy for you and all 5 of your friends (2) babysitting for the neighbors and getting paid in food stamps (3) Faygo Red Pop was all you drank (4) fudge-cicles were all you ate in the summer time (5) playing kick ball, hop-scotch and double-dutch in the square until it got dark (6) riding your bike across town and back to kick it with your friends (7) Trend detergent was all you could afford - "what's Tide?" (8) Terrells potato chips were the come up (9) Ivory soap - 10 bars for a dollar - would last you two months (10) "Hide-n-go-get" was the game to play as long as your mama didn't find out! Yeah, good things do come out of the ghetto - I'm one of them........... OBSERVATION 8/25/06: RIP Aaliyah (8/25/01)................. OBSERVATION 8/22/06(2): Speaking of El General, contrary to what some of y'all young folk believe, Daddy Yankee did not 'invent' Reggaeton - recognize!......... OBSERVATION 8/22/06: What y'all know about that Tony Rebel, Cutty Ranks, El General, Super Cat, Shabba, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Frighty & Colonel Mighty? If you weren't up on the dancehall back in '89/'90/'91 then you can't relate - get at me!.............. OBSERVATION 8/7/06: Go shawty, it's my birthday - 19 all over again!......... OBSERVATION 8/3/06: I'm just getting back in town from Chicago and I see some of y'all have been missing me. LOL! Get at me!..... OBSERVATION 7/20/06: "Imagine me loving what I see when the mirror looks at me cause, I imagine me. In a place of no insecurites and I'm finally happy cause, I imagine me" - this is my personal theme song for 2006, but can you "imagine you"?........ OBSERVATION 7/15/06: If you are into stuff like bioterrorism, epidemiology, biology and conspiracies, then you may want to check out the NON-fiction "Demon in the Freezer" by Richard Preston - yeah, I'm an undercover nerd......... OBSERVATION 7/5/06: "Loving you is like a song I replay every 3 minutes and 30 seconds of every day, and every chorus is written for us to recite every beautiful melody of devotion every night" - am I the only one ready for some new Lauryn Hill?!..... OBSERVATION 7/3/06: Just back from the Bahamas - get at me! Pics are posted .........OBSERVATION 6/19/06: Just finished reading "The Automatic Millionaire" by David Bach - if you are serious about making that paper (and keeping it) then check it out....... OBSERVATION 6/13/06: Shout-out to my sister for putting me on to that Cassie joint....... OBSERVATION 6/9/06: What time is the 5:00 Free Crack Giveaway?!.... OBSERVATION 6/8/06: Barack Obama for president!...... OBSERVATION 6/7/06: Am I the only one that is really ready for a new Bone Thugz n' Harmony album, with all of the original members - Layzie, Krayzie, Wish, Bizzy and Flesh???..... OBSERVATION 6/1/06: No more Matt and Katie in the morning?! What is the world coming to???....... OBSERVATION 5/31/06: Just back from Aruba (sigh) - new pics are posted....... OBSERVATION 5/24/06: Just as an FYI, since you are taking the time to come to my page and read what I have to say, I don't believe it says anywhere on here that I go by "Sexy", "Beautiful", "Hot Chocolate", "Lil' Mama", "Baby Girl" or any other names - so when you shout me out, "Brea" will do just fine! 'Preciate ya!......... OBSERVATION 5/17/06: Some people have asked me about my .. name - Auntie Brea. Seems like nowadays that's what most of the people I hang with call me...that is, most of the people age 5 and under - which include my 4 nieces and 2 nephews....... OBSERVATION 5/16/06: You can sure tell a lot about a person by their page. Let me go ahead and put it out there - you can love it or leave it alone - but if you have flicks of some half naked freak-of-the-week chicks, pictures of weed leaves, Glocks and semi-automatic weapons, your spelling/grammar is at the middle school level, or the song playing is "beat that b!tch with a bat"...chances are I won't correspond with you. That's the beautiful thing about myspace - you have choices! I don't hang out with 'just anybody' in real life, so why would I do so on here!?.................... OBSERVATION 5/10/06: Hmmnnn, someone told me that I sound 'unhappy' with myspace, based on my previous observations. No, I'm not unhappy with it - I find it quite funny actually! In fact, I've reconnected with some old friends and made some cool new ones. So take my comments with a grain of salt ...unless of course your name is "pimp~u~out"!...... OBSERVATION 5/2/06: Been on myspace a few weeks now...long enough for me to have found plenty of things to question...for instance: 1. Is there a reason why people take pictures of themselves half naked (or more) and post them? Don't they have to go to work, school or their mama's house at some point??? 2. Why do some people actually list how much money they make? Do they really think people will believe them or actually correspond with them because of it??? (shout out to the cats making $250,000+...whatever!) 3. Why do people pick such strange profile names? Do they think that more people will be drawn to "pimp~you~out" and "crack4life"??? 4. Why are there so many 'celebrity' pages? I'm sure they are certainly making the time to log into myspace every chance they get, right??? 5. Speaking of which, why do people post pictures of themselves with celebrities? Do people really care if you met Usher after standing in line for an hour waiting to get into his album release party with the free pass your cousin'nem won by calling into the radio station???
