Rande’ Johnson was born on May 28, 1981, in Plainfield, NJ. Being born into the Fitz-Johnson family, music was in his blood. Every member of his immediate family has done music in one aspect or another. Begin around musicians for the majority of his younger years caused him to gain interest in music at an early age. Rande’ had a love for bands and would try to play any instrument his could get my hands on. Throughout elementary school, he would write poems in his spare time. In the seventh grade, Rande’ learned how to play the tenor Saxophone and how to read music, and by then was able to play the piano by ear. He wasn’t very good at either instrument, but enjoy doing it anyway. That next year Rande’ stopped playing the Sax and found a new love for Rap/Hip Hop. After listening to rap songs more in dept, Rande’ discovered that it was mostly poems spoken over a beat. He then began turning his poems into rap songs. During the ninth grade year, Rande’ found out that a good friend of his was involved in a rap group named Juve-Dels (Juvenile Delinquents) and asked if he could join. Once the other members of the group heard him rap, he was allowed to join. The group participated in a public service announcement that was arranged by the same middle school that he had previously graduated from. The group recorded a song on the importance of literacy and shot a video for the song. Despite the fact that they were a good combination, most of the members ended up moving to different states and were no longer able to continue making music together. Throughout the remainder of high school, Rande’ continued to write music, and aspired to be a rapper. After graduating high school, Rande’ enrolled in a school for his second love, computers. During this time, Rande’ continued to pursue his dream of making music, by going into underground studios and recording whenever he could. He wasn’t getting the best quality, but was getting used to recording in the studio. Now, after years of perfecting his musical talents, Rande’ has completed his Debut album entitled “Pestalance: Yeah, it’s spelled wrong.†Set to be released independently August 3rd 2007. Rande' currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas.
