I am a man of extremes... I run either hot or cold... to know me is to accept that. My sense of honor is high, and my spirituality unquestionable... you don't like it? Find your own path. I am the life of the party, and yet the sobering realization the next morning that life goes on... I am the one once known as Drewcifer... my motto is lead me not into temptation for I can find the way myself... I live by no dogma... no stigma... I am strong in who I am... and I cannot be swayed. I am confident in my own soul... and I cannot be swayed. I can build you up with compliments and affection, yet cut your meager ego down with my venomous tongue... beware... beware...
In love, I am as passionate as the fires of the volcano... and my loyalty knows no bounds, provided it is earned. Cross me once, and be damned to insanity for your trouble... I have no remorse... I have no regrets... but I do have love. I hate love... it is the only emotion that rocks me to my core... it is the only part of me I question, and rightly so... I have loved and lost... loved and been doublecrossed... loved and been abandoned. I survive... I can turn my emotions off like a light switch. You look into my eyes... still waters run DEEP. I survive because I have to...
I believe in karma... the Wiccan Rede... the only "commandment" I live by... more like a guideline anyway... "Whatsoever ye do of good or ill shall return to thee THREEFOLD..." I make no excuses for who I am... nor do I tolerate it in others. I am old and cynical, yet young enough to remember that life is for the living.
And you may ask yourself... well, how did I get here?
I am the whitest black man you will ever meet... can you handle that? But I know where I come from... I know my heritage and am proud of it. I celebrate life with good food and good drink. I spend way too much money... but for sake of living. I am not one who merely survives... I LIVE. I am a true devotee of Dionysos... the God of celebration... and wine. Just as I am a true devotee of Artemis... Goddess of the Moon, protector of those who cannot protect themselves.
To all the haters out there, deal with it... this is me, I live for me, and I make no apologies... as the band Dark Angel used to sing "For this I don't apologize, because I leave scars". Pray that you can handle me.... not many can.
