About Me

S. Wayne was raised in the dirty south and started rapping at the tender age of eight. That was the official jump off for this gifted young artist. At nine he made his first public performance at a get together in the local park. By the time Wayne made it to seventh grade he knew their was no turning back. This whole hip-hop thing went from something to do to a way of life. With his newly formed group South Kamp he took the southern independent scene by storm.South Kamps first single South Joy landed S.Wayne and his group a record deal with All-Net Records. This was a huge move for South Kamp as All-Net Records was owned and operated by 76ers basketball star Tyrone Hill. Two and a half years and 30 songs later All-Net Records folded. S. Wayne knew then that to succeed in the music industry he would have to have as much business acumen as he had talent. Refocused and regrouped he went to college and worked to support his daughter.With a new lease on life and a new business venture South Kamp released the critically acclaimed album Crooked Coffee. This led to radio spots for 97.9fm in Macon, GA & 93.1fm in Savannah, GA. Their large fan base was created opening up for groups like the 69 boys, Field Mob, Ideal and Kilo. Being The breakout star S. Wayne was pushed to make his first solo album Gods Son Devils Favorite He moved massive units out the trunk because of his breakout single Fuck That Shit. I could go on for days. Shout to my mans T-O Grand, Kazzmadak, Uncle Time, Bobcat, Rick G, G-1, and Marcus Fussel, my personal influences.
Sounds Like: Mostly me, but I sometimes get influenced so strongly by some of my favorite artists that you may get a hint of them in some of my music. Its my way of showing respect.
