One of T.B.’s mentors, 3 time Grammy award winning Engineer/Producer Jason Villaroman, says, “T.B. has grown a lot as a producer since I met him. He is a great student. He always asks questions. That’s what makes him get better and better. He has a passion burning inside of him for producing and composing. He will win a few Grammys of his own someday real soon.†T.B. was also nominated for producer of the year at the 2nd annual B.A.R.S. (Bay Area Rap Scene Awards) awards. He grew up in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. “I love The Bay, there is so much to do there, the people are great, there is a rich music culture, and it’s just one big melting pot of all races and cultures.†He was introduced to just about every genre of music growing up. With his very broad range of music knowledge he decided to start making his own.
At age 11 TB started piano lessons. He then also received a small Casio keyboard for his birthday. This keyboard opened the portal to T.B.'s creative music side. He was so excited to have a keyboard, and never left the house with out playing it. “I remember that little keyboard; I was truly in love with that thing.†Then at age 17 he started to get serious about his production. He started up a record label, CTDC Records. He pushed out his first artist RELL DERT, who has been a regional success so far. He then began to sell his production which was huge for him. When people started recognizing him for his talent, and even paying for it, he knew he had something good.
In 2001, TB picked up and moved to Los Angeles. “There was a lot going on in my life at the time. I always said I was going to make the move to LA, so I just stopped talking about it and finally made it happen.†TB gained many important contacts in Los Angeles. The contacts have led to him working with huge music acts, executives and players in the industry. “LA has been great to me. I am thankful and grateful for every person I have met out here. I have learned a lot from everyone I have met, good and bad.â€
TB is a very seasoned music producer/songwriter. Music is his religion. “Music has saved me from a lot. I owe my life to music.†As TB progresses, his music will progress. Music will continue to live through him.
