The emcee known as Overbite is ready for the stage. Are you ready for him?I want to entertain and connect with the people, stresses Overbite. Each time I open my mouth I want people to relate to me as if they were the ones rhyming. I am one with the audience so that is the perspective I choose to speak from. Im not on top of some mountain talking down on a crowd like My voice is the only one that matters. Im in the audience feeling like everybody else and going through the same experiences. When youre on top of that mountain you dont know what the listener thinks because you distanced yourself so far away. The name may strike you as an odd choice for an alias, but dont get it twisted- this artist is set to hit everyone with a style of his own. He says Im the everyday guy and at the end of the day my lyrics are honest, witty, and personal. Im comfortable with who I am, flaws and all. I know I have issues but so does everyone else. I bear everything. Its like my pencil is writing in its birthday suit.The artist started rhyming in his early teens incorporating different things from certain emcees that he admired yet still bringing out his own personality. From writing and reciting verses to performing at open mics around the New Jersey and New York area it was a matter of time before others took notice. Gaining respect from his peers landed him on New York College radio stations making a name for himself. Overbites persistence and willingness to learn the business side of the industry landed him a couple of internships at Jive and MCA Records and even employment at New Yorks Power 105.1FM. But its his voice that he wants to let out to the world knowing that he can represent the guy in the classroom that has a lot on his mind and knows a lot but may not raise his hand.The next step for Overbite is to continue to expand by making songs that are universal. He states that there are no big screen premiere lights and flashiness with his music. This rapper is filled with great ideas, creativity, and originality. One word that describes Overbite best is refreshing. He says, I want to be considered as one mouth that speaks for thousands because the flesh is temporary but songs can last for eternity.
