Mc Lok-I grew up in north London and started mcing back in 1993. His first break was through pirate radio on the legendary station Rude fm. It was on this station that he met the ELC gang, Sly and Shaydee.from there the friendship was formed!!!After a short while on the original Rude FM 104.3 interest in Lok-I started to pick up and event bookings started coming in. He began performing at local raves and caught the eye of local DJ/Promoter Filthy Dirty Rich. Lok-I began doing shows and performing at raves alongside Filthy and this led to them both getting a show on the worlds leading drum and bass station. KOOL FM on friday nights 11 to 1 am.
In 2002 Filthy Dirty Rich began www.Pyrotechnicradio.com and Lok-I was invited to be one of the main drum and bass MCs on the station for a good couple of years. By this point, Lok-Is name was fast becoming one that was fast becoming known to the public due to his hard work on the Internet & FM airways and his efforts in front of a live audience while on stage at events which include some of the leading edge raves such as Innovation, Best of British, Telepathy, One Nation, Desire, Slammin Vinyl, Breakin Science and Jungle Fever to name a few
It was Lok-Is residency at Telepathy in 2001 which led to him becoming friends with Bassman & Trigga of the then Shadow Demon Crew. fast forward to 2006 and Lok-I is now a new recruit of the Shadow Demon Coalition which consists of Bassman, Trigga, Juiceman, Shaydee, $pyda, Lok-I & DJ Sly!!
Lok-I has become an MC that people know and love to hear out in raves due to his unique ragga-edged vocals and his free styling ability.
