Biography:
Belgian born and bred, DJ Freddee grew up in the city of Ghent. His house was always filled with a wide variety of music ranging from disco to oldskool hip hop and house. In his teen years he enjoyed much of the popular music such as rap and dance music along with disco and funk (This laid the foundation for his love of funky beats).
For many years, Freddee mostly concidered himself as a collector and an appriciator of good music. His urge for sharing has grown over the last few years though, so now you might catch him spin at different venues in Ghent, Brussels, Leuven or Lisbon.
DJ Freddee sees DJing as more of a way of expression, an art form. He realises that there is so much more to Djing than simply playing record after record and this realisation is more than apparent in his performance. Whether in the form of a simple turn of a bass cue, the subtle scratch of an accapella or adding some effects in a track.
Combining his enjoyment of music, DJ Freddee will take you on a journey through a spacey warm electro balearic dubby melodic discoid soundscape.
