Currie, (J.Pikasso) is originally from Detroit, yet he spent the greater part of his life traveling until his teenage years where he spent the majority in Tacoma, WA. There he started out as part of Element Connection, which was a collective group of all the best MCs in the area. As a member of Element Connection, at the ages of 15 and 16, he toured the North West area and established himself as a dominant voice in the hip-hop community. After parting ways with the group in 98, his focus shifted from not only rapping, but to producing as well.Pikasso has performed in numerous venues in various cities throughout the U.S. including Detroit, Washington, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, and Orange County to name a few. Pikasso has also opened for Major acts and has established his reputation in the hip-hop community as a Vicious and consistent force on stage and behind the microphone.With a distinguished battle reputation, Pikasso has already earned substantial street notoriety; his versatility and complex style sets him apart from others. Although rapping is his passion, he also enjoys songwriting and producing for hip-hop and R&B.
