D-wood

I started off in OkC. with big dreamz of bein a lawyer or a doctor, money at the age 13 wasnt lookin too promising at that time so i wanted to make something happen. that'z when i got into music. my family already singz, and i knew it was in my blood to do music. so i started playin around on my momz organ and makin beatz with the programed sequences already in the organ. thatz when i realized i like makein the beatz.As a youngster, my idolz were people like boyz 2 men, llcool j, h-town, aron hall, and a few more r&b groupz. rap wasnt really in the picture yet. being artistic, i was real good at puttin wordz together. poemz and short storiez are just the beginning stepz for me developing into the person i am today. creatively talented i put my craft into rap. I found out that rap and poetry arent that different from each other and, if I could make a good topic or story line to go with the rhyming of wordz, i waz in bizness.I put my first rap together and let my boyz criticize it in 95. the comments unexpectadly suprized me because they liked it. my style (undeveloped) had potential to grow into a serious charecter. ditty was my first rap name. unfortunatly a song on the radio made me change my name (do the ditty). not dissin them but i had to be me... Flex was the next name. I liked it and it fit me because i was kinda quick back then, and no one had the name that i knew of. so I ran wit it. got a few songz and been featured on some different albumz. time passed and people started realizing that i had a head on my shoulderz and started callin me genius. Also haveing street knowlege and bein asociated with gangstaz i became flexG. so in time i put the three namez together and came up with, flexG-nious.Traveling around the USA, i've worked with people like roy jones jr, dj quick, grip deez, and many more local or unsigned artistz. knowing flex is a common name now, i am workin on a new name. i wanted to use my real name and d-Wood was the best fitting for what i do. da wood is what i right on, it's where i like to live(being a leo), and it's what haterz better knock on to keep me off them. anywayz, i just wanted to tell somethin about me and i told too much already. enjoy the truth.I get my Free MySpace Layouts at LayoutStreet.com
