I'd like to meet:

my Georgia grandfather who passed away in 1937...the surviving members of the Rockmart High School Championship Football Team of 1950...the Hopkins ancestors from Roxbury, MA and Hopkins County, TX...my great-grandfather, Deputy Hoss Kendall, who once roamed North Texas and Oklahoma, Indian Territory on his horse. Old cowboys rule.

on genealogical research, Westward expansion in the 19th century, histories of Native American tribes, the Donner Party, Nevada mining towns, the travels of Mark Twain and diaries of pioneer women from the Overland Trail.

Heroes:

My mama and my brothers...........My dad, Maj. Samuel Taylor Parker, Sr. (USAF, Ret.) 1932-1987....served during the Formosa Crisis, in Operation Deep Freeze, in the Belgian Congo, in Viet Nam; based at Hickam, Donaldson, Wiesbaden, Norton, Sheppard, Izmir and Schierstein...rest in peace, Daddy......"forgiving is not forgetting...forgiving is anchoring a wrong in its own time, letting it recede into the past as we live and move toward the future" (from the Unitarians in Edinburgh website) *********************** My uncle and aunt, Kendall and Patty Hunt Price...rest in peace.... My uncle, Lt. Col. E.F. Price, (USMC, Ret.) 1923-2006. My Cousin Kathy Price and her son, Nick....and always we shall miss LTJG Mark N. Dunleavy (USN, Ret.) 1960-1998...remembering Thomas Peter Reilly, born 1933, County Sligo, Ireland; died 1994 - Landstuhl, Germany...rest in peace, Uncle Tommy and thank you for teaching me how to tie my shoes. ***********************************************************
